The Graduate

So Sun chips have a bag made out of plants so it can be biodegradable. Does this mean I can eat the bag too? It makes me sad to think that a bag full of chips that gets lost would slowly leave the chips inside vulnerable and completely exposed.

So I was trying to turn on the propane tank last night and pinched my finger somehow. At this very moment I still can't feel the tip of my index finger. Totally numb! Like someone chopped it off! Except not, because I'm using it to type right now. Maybe I have the beginning onsets of HSAN!

I had the honor of watching Sean sing some songs while graduating from preschool yesterday.

Just graduated from 3 to 4's I guess... he's still in preschool.

He did really well, but at one point he was the only one with his back turned. I'm sure he was just bored. He got an award for being able to make anything using any house-hold item. An ingenuity award if you will. Oz was a handful because he hasn't been feeling well. He got super attached to me because I was home all day yesterday with him. I tried to leave the house this morning for work but he would throw a huge fit each time he saw me leaving. While he was eating his breakfast I was like a ninja escaping his still developing ninja vision.

Old school Italians say that if its that time of the month for you (a.k.a period) you better not make anything with red sauce! You might spoil the tomatoes! Crazy! That grosses me out!
After watching this, I couldn't help but think about the homemade commercial Rach, Katie, and Julie made regarding the many uses of tampons.

Under There!!! Under where?

I was putting on some fresh underwear after my shower and realized that the underwear was so old and decayed that I couldn't figure out if it was inside out or not. One of those moments where you just shrug your shoulders and say, oh well.

I was outside late last night trying to fix a sprinkler head and needed to look at the sprinkler system to turn it on. We don't have flash lights anymore because they are Sean's favorite toy and he ends up breaking every one. So yes, if you're wondering what to get Sean for a gift, a simple flash light will do. Anyway, I had an ultra-violet flash light to look at the system and thought... hmmmm... I wonder if any scorpions are out. I found 2! On our cement blocks. I was only able to get one confirmed kill, the other skerried off into a hole. I'm going to have to start a tally for confirmed scorpion kills here at the new house.

I can't wait for the Suns game tomorrow. They are down 0 and 2 in the series, but they've come back from worse... I think. I was hoping for a more 2007 Suns v Lakers experience, but *shrug oh well.

Lacie and Oz just finished eating cereal like adults except in little bowls. When they are finished they push their plate/bowl forward out of their way... until now! I just taught them to put their dishes into the sink. Oz really got into it by really throwing it. Lacie was much more lady-like and gently dumped it in rising up to her tip-toes to do it. Sean's in this fishing kick right now. He'll find a few different toys and turn them into a fishing pole with a line. He'll tell us to sit down and catch some fish with him. We went to Home Depot last weekend and he was very said when we lost his binoculars.

Something fun to check out:

Suns Got Schooled!

School... who needs it?! I figure I wish I got into some kind of trade, like carpentry, and got really good at it. Then I could be even MORE like Jesus! I say all this now, but I'd probably be wishing I went to school if I was fixing someones roof in this crappy Arizona heat.

I was told that today there are now 1000 dead US Soldiers from the Iraq war. That's so terrible! So many good men have died for our freedom!

Sean, Will, Tessa, Adalynn, Lacie, and Oz all played so well at our house last night. We all pigged out on pizza and wings with the intention of having some peach pie later. It was Adalynn's Birthday so we had chocolate cake and ice-cream instead. I was so full my belly felt like a rugby bladder getting kicked around. I wanted to eat peach pie because it sounded so good but I just couldn't fit any more... I failed.

You know who failed!!! The Suns! Ahhhhhhhhh I can't believe they lost by so much! They better get their orange together and fix their defense. I must say, it was fun to see Dudley smack Odom in the face though. It was an accident, but still it looked so blatant. Don't worry, I really am against violence.

Until Next Time!

Calling All Farmers, Please Give Me a Tan

Holy Molly! I just spent the entire morning getting a burn on my neck doing crappy landscaping work on my front yard! I think I must be watering things too much because everything is growing a million miles an hour! You'll have to start calling me Pedro if I keep up all this type of work. I thought about doing all the work outside shirtless because my body is an awesome blessing to whoever lays eyes on it, but you know, I don't want skin cancer... so I'm good with a farmers tan I guess.

And no, this isn't my arm... this is merely a portrayal of what I've got going on. You'd know it if it was my arm. It literally punch you in the face!

Luckily for me I have totally cool brother-in-laws to help me out with house stuff because my stupid sprinkler system console broke on me. They helped me put a new one in and now it works great! I won't lie, they did most of the work. I'm really glad they could help me out on such short notice. I'm pretty certain I was over watering every plant and under watering our grass. My stress level is much lower now knowing I have that done.

Poor Rach had a hard time this morning and afternoon with the kids. I guess the way they were all treating her she felt like she was a sub-class human. My words, not hers. Anyway, she also had a big battle with Sean trying to get him to put his pants on for nap time. The biggest obstacle right now is Lacie. Whenever she sees Mommy she clings like a baby koala to its mother. It's crazy! Or if Sean and Oz enter the room where Lacie and Mommy are having some time alone she'll get real territorial real quick with Mommy. She's definitely entering the terrible two's throwing temper tantrums. We are thinking about going out and buying a sweet pool for the backyard for the summer. I'm thinking something that is fairly big but is no deeper than a couple of feet.

Energy Blasts, YC's Squirts, Sprinkler Balls

I love how energy drinks or vitamin drinks have names like: Lemonade passion fruit berry surprise or Orange Cranberry Tangerine Blast. Wha?! What the heck am I supposed to be looking for when I taste it? I can't concentrate on so many flavors at once! I think the makers want to confuse us as bad as they're confused. With all those flavors, who can keep track of what you've put in there? They're probably saying, " Ehh... tastes like something that would come from a fruit tree. All it needs is a spunky name..."

I was fortunate enough to eat lunch with the fam today. We went to YC's Mongolian. Where the food is good and farts are plenty! No, seriously, I can't stop farting! Oz, Lacie and especially Sean had plenty of ice-cream after lunch.  Austin insisted on using a fork for scooping it. Whatever works for you kiddo.

Yesterday we turned on a sprinkler for Sean and he was having fun running around it. Not through it, haha, too cold. I went through it once too trying my hardest not to get wet. Since when did I grow up? Anyway, there was this point where Rach and I were watching everybody outside and Sean was running around the sprinkler and he yells out, "Picture guys! Take a picture!" Rach and I looked at each other agreeing that yes, this would be a good picture opportunity. Sadly, we were both preoccupied with something to help Sean out.

We should get a big ball like this... that's cool!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday to Dad! The big 6 0 !!! I've been expecting some great wisdom from you throughout these old years of yours but compared to Jesus, you really aren't much are ya? Well, we can't all be that cool. Unless you're totally awesome like me! Dad! Are you sleeping again? You aren't even 5 sentences into my post! Anyway... you're one year closer death... don't worry, we are all dieing like you, you're just doing at a much faster rate. Think of it as a game, you'll always be winning at this.

I must admit, as the years are catching up to me I have caught a case of the snoozies on the couch and in the car. Luckily my naps while I'm at the wheel aren't too long. Curse the Happ sleep gene!

Suns play the Laker's this Monday! I can't wait to see the Suns kick some major @$$!!!

We finally cleaned our garage out and put the van inside. Just in time before the summer heat. Well, it's hot, but not Phoenix hot quite yet.

The kids get so dirty now playing outside in the dirt and with chalk, and in-and-out and in-and-out of the house with their grubby little hands. Costing me precious $$$ cooling the outside and making my lovely wife clean up after their mess. But in end, it's all so cute right?

Sheew (as Sean would say) it's been so long I almost forgot my password to my own blog. I bet you all thought I was banned after my last post huh? No worries there are many more important people being slammed with claims of being racist, like our governor for example!

So it's been a while. No I didn't run out of things to write about, or forget how to type. I simply got too busy and stuff like this took a backseat, calm down!

I went to the movie theater last night to watch the midnight showing of Iron Man 2 and soak up an out of this world IMAX experience. We had to get there early to watch the movie of course, so we waited for over an hour and a half in our semi comfortable theater seats. It was nice of them to make them with a pleather material so my butt would be wet after the movie. I thought maybe I had spilled my drink. Curse my sweatiness. Anyway, while waiting for the movie a pack of extremely dorky junior high/high school kids behind us were doing some really obnoxious voice impressions. It took everything in me not to tell them to shutup and throw my drink in their face! The movie was good. Not as good as the first one, but still full of action and FX. Yahoo users gave it an A-, I'd have to agree.

Mother's day is coming up and I'm not talking about a day to celebrate the yummy goodness of Mother's cookies, or the cleanliness of Mother's Cleaner, or the naturalness of Mother's Barley...

I'm talking about the day in which all Mother's should put up their feet, relax and enjoy a quiet environment like a spa for example, or go out and have fun! I can't wait until our kids start going out and buying things for Mommy, mainly so I can see the crazy things they buy.  Rach had a fun time at the Mother's day event at Sean's school. They went to different stations much like the Father's day event I experienced last month. Sean got to paint mommy's nails with all kinds of different colors... It was funny to see the messy purple nails when she got home. Rach said that Sean was a pill towards the end of the school day. Instead of singing the songs he kept saying, "Hold you mommy, hold you." This was a little embarrassing. I guess Sean got upset earlier about not getting a cookie that wasn't his in the first place.

I guess Sean and Oz are starting to hold tiny little conversations with each other. "Hey Sean." "Hi Oz" "What are you doing?" "mmm nothing". Lacie is saying please and thanks in her low commanding voice.

Suns play tonight! They've beat the Spurs 2-0. So now they have something like a 90% chance of taking the series against them! But what do I know, 70% of all statistics aren't true, or is it 50%?
